Note to instructors: These downloadable MacGAMUT 6 Mini Demos will let you preview the MacGAMUT software your students would be using. But, to get a more complete idea of how MacGAMUT 6 will work for you and your students, you will want to request the MacGAMUT 6 Instructor Demo Disk. The Instructor Demo Disk includes fuller demo versions of the User Disk software as well as demo versions of the Instructor Disk programs, which permit you to customize your students' User Disk software to match your curriculum, your textbook, and the way you teach. The Instructor Demo Disk is FREE, but it is available ONLY to teachers.
NOTE: New MacGAMUT 6 Mini Demos (Version 6.1.0) that feature the new on-screen MacGAMUT Virtual Keyboard will be ready soon. If you download the Mini Demo today, be sure to come back to this page again very soon to try out the exciting new updated version!
If you download the file directly to a Windows computer, click "Run" on the "Download complete" dialog, or start by double-clicking the .exe file you have downloaded. Once the file has been unzipped, the installer will start automatically. Just follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

NOTE: MacGAMUT 6 Mini Demo requires Macintosh System 10.3 or higher to run.

The .zip file will expand into a file named MacGAMUT 6 Mini Demo Installer, and the Installer will begin automatically. The installer will place the MacGAMUT files in a folder labeled MacGAMUT 6 Mini Demo in your Applications folder. To begin using the Mini Demo, double-click the MacGAMUT 6 Mini Demo application icon in your MacGAMUT 6 Mini Demo folder.
Download the Exploring the Melodic Dictation Window video:
This video tutorial, included on every MacGAMUT 6 CD-ROM, demonstrates many of the techniques and short-cuts you will use in entering your responses to MacGAMUT exercises. It provides an excellent introductory illustration of how the software works. Because of the size of this video file, we have not included it in the Mini Demo downloads, but offer it as a separate download.

You probably won't need to consult the User Guide to use these Mini Demos, since most questions about how to use the software are answered in the Help (MG Help on Mac) menu topics. Since this text file is fairly large, we've made it available separately instead of including it as part of the Mini Demo downloads.
