Before you can use your new MacGAMUT User Disk software the first time, you must complete this simple registration process. Once you've registered on-line, you will receive your own startMG6.mgs file as an e-mail attachment. Your file will have your name and Registration Number permanently embedded in it. This file is an indispensable part of your MacGAMUT software, and you'll need to locate it each time you use the software. In fact, the quickest way to start MacGAMUT is by double-clicking on your startMG6.mgs file.
As soon as you complete your on-line registration, your personal start file is generated automatically and sent to you immediately. You should receive it as an e-mail attachment the next time you collect your e-mail. However, if your computer is set up to automatically reject or quarantine attachments from unknown addresses, you may need to temporarily change some options or preferences in order to receive this e-mail note and the attached file. Most likely, the "lost" e-mail will be in your "Junk" mailbox (even though it's definitely NOT junk!), but if you can't find it there, then check settings of your e-mail program, anti-virus software, firewall, and/or internet service provider software. You should be able to change the problematic preferences or options to allow the MacGAMUT registration e-mail and its attachment to be delivered to you. If you can change your settings to allow e-mail and attachments from macgamut.com addresses, that should solve the problem. If you can't make such a specific change, change the problematic preference or option temporarily--just long enough to receive your start file--and then change it back again to its original setting.
IMPORTANT: If changing settings doesn't solve the problem, please e-mail TechSupport@macgamut.com for assistance. Be sure to include your Registration Number, the name you registered under, and a brief explanation of the problem.
Once you've got your start file, it's up to you to keep track of it and make regular backup copies. But, if you somehow lose all copies of this file, you can always return to the registration page and pick up another copy. Just register as you did before, using the same Registration Number and the same name you registered under the first time. Of course, your replacement file will start you back at "zero," and you'll lose credit for all the work you've done. So you'll be much happier keeping careful track of the file you've been using and making regular backup copies, so you never need a replacement! Printed on your MacGAMUT 6 User Disk (or, for earlier versions, on a label inside your CD case), you will find your unique 9-digit Registration Number. Make a note of this Registration Number and keep it in a safe place, just in case you lose the CD. If you sometimes have difficulty remembering your name, you may want to make note of that, too! Once you have completed registration, your registered name cannot be changed.
