First, we're REALLY sorry you're having this problem. It's not your fault. It's not our fault. But that doesn't make any of us any happier about the situation. The company that replicates our CDs created beautiful CDs for us this year. They look SO pretty. That's the good news. The bad news is that they accidentally printed our MacGAMUT 6 labels and Registration Numbers on a few CDs that are actually Resource CDs they had duplicated for some other company. They all LOOK exactly the same, so you can't tell there's a problem until you put the CD into your computer.
What you will see if you have one of these Resource CDs:
When you put the CD in your computer, the name displayed on your screen will be RESOURCE_CD or something similar.
On a Windows computer, you may get a dire warning that running this CD may delete important files from your computer. If that happens, DO NOT install or run anything from this CD. It's NOT a MacGAMUT CD!!!!!!
On a Macintosh, you will just see lots and lots of files that probably can't install anything on your computer, but it's better not to test that theory. It's NOT a MacGAMUT CD!!!!!
What to do:
E-mail TechSupport@macgamut.com and tell us you have one of these bizarre CDs. (Maybe it will be like one of those rare coins with some kind of misprint and will become a valuable collector's item? Nah, probably not.) Please include the following information in your e-mail:
Registration Number printed on the CD.
The manufacturing code printed on the inner circle on the bottom side of the CD (a series of 9 or 10 letters and numbers).
Your name and postal mailing address.
Send us this info, and we'll get a new CD out to you immediately by first-class mail.
