MacGAMUT User Disk Extras
Among the additional features in MacGAMUT 6 are three which are NOT included in the regular Web Installer downloads:
The first two units of MacGAMUT Music Theory Basics cover Intervals and Scales. This sample of an in-progress computerized "book" offers a series of .pdf documents to help you learn the nuts and bolts of music theory. The "pages" of this reference are complete with music notation, sound, and lots of links from page to page to allow you to explore freely. To get the most out of these materials, please download and install the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader if you have not already done so.
A new Managing Your startMG6 File video showing you step-by-step how to get started with MacGAMUT and how to keep track of your startMG6.mgs file, the all-important file that stores the complete record of all the work you have done on MacGAMUT.
Another new video, Exploring the Melodic Dictation Window, demonstrates many of the techniques and shortcuts which permit you to enter your responses to MacGAMUT exercises quickly and economically.
Because each of these is a fairly large download, it might be difficult for those with slower internet connections to download the new program software and these extras all at the same time. So we have separated these materials from the Web Installer downloads of MacGAMUT 6, so individuals can choose whether and when to download these "extra" User Disk materials.
