MFun Web Installers

(Version 1.4.3a for both Windows and Macintosh)

NOTE: If the installer window does not appear when you think it should, it is probably hidden behind other "windows" that are open on your screen. In that case, you can minimize other windows so that the installer window shows.

IMPORTANT: If you are installing MFun for the first time, please download and install the appropriate MFun Complete Installer (the Complete Installers include all the latest updates). On the other hand, if you have already installed version 1.3, 1.4, or 1.4.x of MFun, you can download and install the MFun 1.4.3a Update. Click here to go to the Update Installers.

IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHETHER MFun WILL WORK ON A SPECIFIC ELECTRONIC DEVICE: A lot of electronic devices out there are NOT computers in the traditional sense. You wouldn't expect MFun to run on a calculator, but what about all those new gadgets that let you do SOME things computers let you do? Short answer: If you have a device that runs ONLY IOS, Chrome, Android, Windows RT, etc., then MFun will not work on that device. If you have any questions or doubts about the adequacy of your computer setup, feel free to download and try to install one or more of the installers below, but if you don't have a "real" computer, don't be surprised if the installer doesn't work.

MFun Complete Installers

Select the installer for your computer's operating system below. If your "system" is not listed, no installer is available for it.
Windows XP, NT, Vista, 7, 8, 10 MFun 1.4.3a Win (228 MB)
Because this is a large download, it's best to save the installer on your computer: right click and select "save," "save link as," "save target as," "save as," or "download linked file as," depending on your browser. Remember where you saved it! If you are using Vista or if MFun doesn't work properly after you install it, see the note below. For everyone else:  click "Run" on the "Download complete" dialog, or start by double-clicking the .exe file you have downloaded. Once the file has been unzipped, the installer will start automatically. Just follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
NOTE for Vista users or if MFun doesn't work properly after you install it:
To avoid permissions problems on your computer that may prevent MFun from working correctly, locate the MFun installer (it will be wherever you saved it on your computer). Right-click the MFun Installer and select "Run as administrator" to run the installer. Once the file has been unzipped, the installer will start automatically. Just follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Macintosh OS X (10.5 - 10.12) MFun 1.4.3a Mac (218 MB)
NOTE for 10.11 (El Capitan) users: When you click on the installer to open it, you may get a message saying it’s from an unidentified developer and you shouldn't risk installing it. That message results from an apparent problem in some versions of OS X 10.11. The good news is that if you just click on the installer a second time, it will work fine. If this installer really were from an unidentified developer, your second click would just give you the same scary warning again instead of letting you continue with the installation.
If the installer does not start automatically, just double-click the installer you have downloaded. Then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

IMPORTANT: If you have not already installed MFun 1.3, 1.4, or 1.4.x, do NOT install this update. Instead, please download and install the appropriate MFun 1.4.3a Complete Installer(s) above.
